Registration is now possible on Savage///Circuits. Once I have the rest of the articles up, you will be able to buy stuff. For now you can comment on posts if you like.

If any of you get the chance to register, please leave a comment on a post so I can see if the comments are even working.

Also feel free to submit a testimonial since I was able to recover all of TWO from my original website. As a note, in this version testimonials must be submitted directly. They can't be added by users. I don't know why. That was so much easier.

I left a comment for you, and not sure how to do the testimonial, but will leave it here.

I've always known you to be generous and a helpful person when I needed help with anything. It's always a pleasure to talk to you. Joe R. - Ohio

Thanks for leaving a comment on my website. With the theme I have and having had member registration disabled for so long, I wasn't even sure if comments worked or how they would show up. So thanks for helping me test that.

As for your comment, I updated the post to remove the part about being banned. They did lock me out of my original account (Chris Savage), which had thousands of posts. I had created another account (savagecircuits) and seeing people post stuff for sale, I did the same, since at the time I was hurting for cash after being let go. But they treated ME as a BUSINESS, even though I am not, and a certain moderator (I won't mention) SUNK every post I made, which was very frustrating.

Then a few times it seemed like they locked my account, but each time I was able to reset my password and get back in. It was really weird. I just recently started to test the waters again, but I won't post anything for sale on that site ever again! For some reason others can do so, but the afore(not)mentioned moderator once told me the site for support and not for selling things or promoting one's website. Rich, considering I RAN the forums for years...but, I digress.

Been trying to look up some of my old website members that I lost track of, like doggiedoc, electromanj, eod_punk, etc. Sadly, not many people got back to me. Some part of me wishes I could go back and do it all over again. I one hand I could prevent having let my Type II get out of hand and subsequently lost my site in the wake of my failing health. That said, it wouldn't change what happened to my wife and I couldn't go through that again. That nearly destroyed me.

I have three new Arduino-based projects to put up. I just need to wrap up getting the remaining old content up. This last week saw my truck having some serious issues and a few days ago, one of the 2 drives on my NAS failed and before the replacement drive even shipped from Amazon, the other drive failed. So I've been desperately trying to recover and backup data for the last few days and had to purchase more external USB drives to have the room.

As of today my NAS is back up and running with 2 new WD Red 2TB drives. The array has been rebuilt and the data restored. Now I am moving my gaming PC off my workbench because, not only is it taking up the majority of the space, but with two 3D Printers to assemble, I need to free up space in two locations. I will share updates as each bench is completed and as the 3D printers are assembled and put on their new stand, which is my dining room buffet table with a black cloth thrown over it.

Just registered on your site. The registration confirmation got sent to my spam folder, but I marked it as not spam, and was able to log in to Savage Circuits. Thanks, looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Interesting...I also had a "Wordpress" notification go into my Yahoo Mail SPAM folder. I also marked it NOT SPAM. Thanks for letting me know.

Fortunately, this time it is not necessary to register to read, just comment. On my vBulletin site I offset the cost of bandwidth by putting ads on the pages and made it so MEMBERS who were logged in did not see those ads. This time we'll try it without the ads.

Animated project thumbnails? Well, yes, we're testing them out. What do you all think? I started with the Halloween Pumpkin Project.

P.S. - This article is not yet finished...I need sleep. LOL

Nice. What program did you use to create the .GIF file? I know that there are many, but I have never used any of them, and was wondering which one you used, and if it was a simple program.

Also, I posted a comment, but then noticed that the article was over 10 years old. :o That comment is under moderation, so if you don't want my comment, you can just delete it.
