Can a thread move from one board to another? For example, if I start a thread on the Project Ideas board, can I then move it to the In Progress board, and finally to the Completed Projects board, as the project progresses? Or, would that be three separate threads (on three separate boards) following the life of the project?
I saw in the phpBB forums that a moderator can move threads, but it would be helpful if the author of a project were to be able to move the thread - and I could not find any posts about that. Do you know?
ZappBots wishes a warm welcome to everyone.
Especially our visitors from Savage///Circuits and Parallax!!!
Please take a look our new forums, we hope you register and become an active user.
The ZappBots forums are being run on phpBB 3.1.4 software which is different then the vBulletin used on the Savage///Circuits and Parallax forums.
Therefore, things look and work a little different, especially creating posts and uploading images / attachments.
The important thing is we have a place toTalk, Learn and Showcase our projects.

A moderator is required to move threads.

So, would you rather that I start a thread charting the progress on an Arduino (for example) project in the Idea board and have you move it, or should I just start it in the Arduino board to begin with?

Easiest thing is "just start it in the Arduino board to begin with". If you had not chosen the board type yet, I have gone the other way. Either way can work and is OK.
