Well first got 1st issue with the printer, sorta. Upon doing a long print job, machine froze, couldn't abort or pause job, only access options menu. Appears to be an issue with the heated bed, so works fine if that isn't used. Updating firmware as support suggests, waiting for it to print now, so far tech support is really good, little bit of a wait, but that's not too big of a deal, BUT have some interesting other updates, now the machine is also available in a dual extruder model, and for only $20 more! But WAIT there's more! Upon a request to update its firmware there are instructions and an stl file to add it to FULL AUTO bed leveling! I am seriously going to check that option out. Overall still VERY happy with this machine! Hope the update fixes it, but if not, more support and no hot bed, but since using PLA, glue helps! More updates to come.

Joe

Edit: Yea...... the firmware update seams to have gone a bit wrong... SD card operation no longer is working as it was before... In fact not at all... Starts to print, nether bed or hot end heats up, and even though I turned on manually, didn't start printing....

A 2nd upload of the firmware fixed the printing issue but not the hotbed one. Atleast I can still print!

Well, there now is a 2nd version of the Elegoo Neptune 2, the Neptune 2D, which is a dual extruder unit and not too much more then the Neptune 2. https://www.elegoo.com/collections/neptune-series-fdm-printers/products/neptune-2d-fdm-3d-printer

I have the Neptune 2D and so far, I need to find a place to put it, still doing back n forth with their tech support, no issues, just doing various attempts at fixing it/finding the issue of my Hot Bed malfunction. Might change out the places of the Neptune 2 & 2D and then just gotta locate a spot for the Neptune 2. Defiantly happy with my printer, even though I can't use the Hot Bed, least I can use it without it!

There is also the newer Neptune 2S and the larger Neptune X. lol These people crank out more printers then China does cheap copies of stuff..... LOL

I'm hoping this weekend to get mine up and running. Good luck with your situation. I am at a loss for space as well.

Oh yeah, you are not the only one with space issues. Of course, if I could find a way to afford a printer, I would definitely find a place to put it. :)
